Spammers: *raises middle finger*

Seriously, ugh. I hate spammers. I'm not sure "spammers" is even the right term, but apparently some p*rn people linked some of my work to their pervy little fetish site. (I'm not using the "o" because I don't want strange visitors, not because I'm such a delicate flower I can't type "p*rn.") I know this because I received a Google alert about someone using my name, and when I clicked on it---yowzas. No thank you.

So now when someone googles my name, someone like, oh, A POTENTIAL AGENT, that's one of the hits. Big ladies doing naughty things. Please, please, please, don't think that's me, agent person.

I've already had that experience before. When I was in college, one of my dorm-mates had a dirty magazine and one of the featured women looked EXACTLY like me. (Well, not exactly, she was a bit more...bodacious. But exactly like me in the face.) So what does he do? Why, he makes copies and plasters them all over the hall, that's what.

How nice of him. Thanks, guy!

And, to be clear. That is NOT how I paid tuition.

I don't know, Wendy. I feel there is a side of you that you are holding back.

Let it all out (if you know what I mean ::smile::)

I don't know, I'm a little old to pick up a new hobby like that now.

Unless some people are in to the whole "Mrs. Robinson" thing.

Koo koo ka choo.

Oh my gosh, that is AWFUL! I would be so mad if that happened to me. :(

Well, you know the whole Cougar thing is in...

Well, first let me get my snicker out of the way... And now comes the gasp. I can't believe it! I hate this for you, and I hope it has no long-term effects. (You seem to have fared well despite the college incident, btw.)

*grumble*

AC-

Oh, gee...let me think about that. NO.

Janna and Dube-
It's annoying, but whatever. It's not like I'm running for President and have to worry about a checkered past.

I can only hope there is agent googling me, simply because if they care enough to google me, that's got to be a good sign *Sigh* If only...

How annoying! Hopefully the agents are savy to this kind of thing though and will see right past it.

I think we should have just punishment for spammers...like, they have to lick graffati off subway walls, or if you're down South like me and don't have subway walls, maybe they can eat 2000 cans of Spam. (Having your identity mixed up with someone in the p*rn biz sure would be an interesting plot, tho!)

yeah, I will agree that it totally sucks. I did get some laughs from AC, and she is correct about the cougar thing. You never know! :-) LOL.

Hmm, I suppose that having this on my author resume is, at the very least, more INTERESTING than a nice girl with a plain vanilla upbringing.

And I like the idea about spammers eating their Spam.

I'm not sure poor old SPAM deserves such a fate though. It saved countless lives during the second World War. I have British friends who still reminisce about the stuff in the fondest of terms. Make the pr0n spammers chew on, gee I don't know, their own keyboards after they're broken up into handy bite-sized bits.
