Yet another blog about voting. Yawn.

So I'll make it short. My husband and I took out daughters to vote today. They had a half day at school, so we went around noon, fully expecting a looooooong wait. Not so! Only a few people were ahead of us. New York still has the old school voting booths with the giant lever that makes the satisfying KER-CHUNK when you finish.

Did you vote? How'd it go for you?

Oh, and if you are in the hellish querying process like me, be sure to check out Jessica Faust's blog entry today.

Voted! Only waited 30 min. And was excited to see so many people voting at the time. Took Child, who was likewise excited. Very, very cool time to be a voter!

Precie--My oldest was exicted. My youngest was a little "Meh, what's the big deal?" but she's always that way. Plus I think she's still bitter about Hillary losing (really, she is! She wanted "a girl to win.")

A friend of mine posted a picture of the NY voting booth so I know exactly what you're talking about!

Took an elderly lady friend to her polling place today, then my daughter (her first prez election) and I went to ours later. No waiting at all. Yay! But early this a.m., my DH said the before work crowd was terrible. He came home and went back later. KerPlunk!

I had an easy time too. Walked right in and voted...no drama, no good story for my blog. I did, however, get my Free Starbucks. Who said you never get anything for free in NY? I happen to be partial to that big lever. No problems that way.

Nice post over at Faust's. It's interesting to see the other side of the coin, the questions they consider while reading.
