Hurricane Earl excitement

We went out to the beach before high tide today to check out the waves. These were taken at 2:00 pm in Water Mill, NY.
Lost a couple of steps already.

Splashing up to the dunes. The beach has been wide this year. Until today.

Watch out, photographers.

We left when the waves hit the top step. Time to go!

Yikes! I hope that's as high as it goes!

Wasn't that a bit scary!

Awesome pics! I was hoping we'd get a bit of a storm here in Philly, but all we got were a few sprinkles for half an hour. What a disappointment! I hope you and your girls stay safe and enjoy the storm. ;-)

Pbffft. The waves were the most exciting part of the whole thing. Oh well--better than losing trees.

Glad the rest of the country's getting a wee share of the hurricane preps & excitement for a change. LOL. Glad all's okay!

I see that sight sometimes. The beach seems to disappear.
