Things I learned in Alabama

You'll find pretty things down country roads.

Someone told me to "drive up there on a HEEL (hill?) and look daauuwn (down?)"
So I did.

Fried pickles (yum), fried okra, fried chicken, and deep fried peanuts "so good, you can eat 'em SHELL-N'ALL."

Piggly Wiggly!

Five New York girls and two New York boys will have a fantastic time at SPACE CAMP.

Two moms will drink a lot.

Thanks! We did. It helped that the other mom was the type of person who has fun wherever she goes.

Alabama has some beautiful country. Upstate NY does too, every which way you look are mountains. Pick a road and keep taking the one that goes up at each intersection, until your left with breathless scenery.

Of course some of those back roads you really don't want to roll down your windows for anyone (winks). *Hugs* Indigo

New Yorkers are a brave lot. Glad to see you all got out of the City for some other type of culture.

There used to be a Piggly Wiggly in my town, but it closed a while back. But I'm down with the peanuts. mmm...

Wow, that's quite pretty!

My husband recently competed in his first triathlon, and we were delighted to have him finish in a high enough spot to qualify for the national competition in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Of course, we had no intention of actually GOING -- we're in Oregon, after all. We just saw it as a fun achievement.

But now that I've seen these pics, maybe we'll have to think about it!

Glad you had a good time!

Where there are cocktails and friend foods, there is always fun to be had. ;)
