I stopped into a gas station to call someone I knew to come and help, but the owner siad he'd change my tire for me. He did, and I tried to give him a few bucks for his trouble. He just shook his head and said, "What kind of world would this be if we didn't help each other out?" It goes a long way towards restoring my faith in humanity, too, and I definitely prefer to remember the kind strangers over the other kind any day. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5817248340630521543.post-55125875152996912662008-05-14T10:12:00.000-07:002008-05-14T10:12:00.000-07:00It is scary sometimes looking back at the situatio...It is scary sometimes looking back at the situations we get ourselves into. How I know? I live in the next country of eastern India, Bangladesh. Most people are very warm and friendly here. Yes, there are many women who are sold as sex slaves (prostitutes) in South Asia but that is another story related to poverty.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5817248340630521543.post-8351481896146862762008-05-14T08:18:00.000-07:002008-05-14T08:18:00.000-07:00The kindness of strangers - never underestimate it...The kindness of strangers - never underestimate it!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5817248340630521543.post-72963502345397679282008-05-14T07:33:00.000-07:002008-05-14T07:33:00.000-07:00Wow... I've been saved many a time with that little card with the hotel's name and address on it!

I've also been there where people rescue you from a night in the street - and want nothing more than your safety. It's a nice feeling knowing there are people out there who are only looking out for your best interest.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
