Otherwise my broadcasts would be boredcasts: I'm sitting at the computer. Chatting on AW. Updating twitter... lol.

(Thanks!)Melanie Hooyengahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08781235493983907234noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5817248340630521543.post-53918699479120126872008-08-31T20:25:00.000-07:002008-08-31T20:25:00.000-07:00Just you wait, Janna, Melanie, and Joanne. You'll be twittering right along with me.

There's really not much to it--you sign up, people start to "follow" you, and you all brief each other as to what's going on at that particular moment, 140 characters at a time.

So if you want to know what maestrowork thinks about pickles or astonwest is working on, jump in!

(and welcome back, Melanie!)WendyCinNYChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15548500219172368038noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5817248340630521543.post-81292711447929711132008-08-31T19:18:00.000-07:002008-08-31T19:18:00.000-07:00omg, I'm afraid if I start with twitter, I'll neve...omg, I'm afraid if I start with twitter, I'll never get off the computer! Not sure how it all works, but have been hearing a lot about it lately. I can see that LOTS of people use it to expand contacts. They use it on some CNN shows and I have Johns Hopkins University as a follower, of all things.

So you are right, Liz. I guess I do use it to stay connected. And thanks for letting me link to your blog!WendyCinNYChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15548500219172368038noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5817248340630521543.post-80460838403480060082008-08-29T15:49:00.000-07:002008-08-29T15:49:00.000-07:00Hi Nancy!Nice to meet you. It's a great place to study humanity.

Twitters anything, but a waste of time. Products get pitched and business gets conducted. Networks of clients extend and expand.

Now, I've met you because of it. :)

The key is like all blogging platforms -- if we're there for the same reasons we'll stay connected.

Thanks for noticing what I wrote. Really enjoyed what you had to say about it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5817248340630521543.post-63582187838072047232008-08-29T13:04:00.000-07:002008-08-29T13:04:00.000-07:00Someone who spams a tweet once every minute may ge...Someone who spams a tweet once every minute may get removed, but I won't remove the average person. I don't expect them to notice me, so it's more of a bonus if they do. But I'm not using social networks to keep in touch with a small circle of friends. I see them as a way to expand my contacts.

I think the key thing is not to get upset if someone has a different reason for using a network.Polenthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14029549865473069051noreply@blogger.com
