Dropping the ball

I'm taking a small, small hiatus from the blog while I edit my novel to send back to my agent. Only for a couple of weeks. I've been a bit single-focused over here, so I'm almost done. But, given that...

--My refrigerator is lacking milk, fresh vegetables (unless you count some 4 week old basil) and all the basics one is supposed to have with medium-sized children in the house.

--I haven't even bothered to write down all the daily tasks on my to-do list. It would just serve as an accusation, 'cause they ain't getting done.

--I'm doing only a so-so job, if that, on a charity event I'm supposed to be working on.

--I'm almost to the point of dish-detergent-as-shampoo, since I haven't been to the drugstore.

--My husband is tired of sharing the bed with a MacBook.

--I nearly forgot to pick my daughters up from school last week.

...the blog has been bumped to a low priority.

See you all soon!

Wah, wah. Sorry, but I'm a whiner. OK, fine. Go away and leave us here praying for representation. But seriously, take your time and get your ms as spit-shined as possible. We'll be here rooting for you from the sidelines.;-)

PS: Is there something wrong with using dishwasher detergent as shampoo?

Good luck! I know the feeling. Don't ask the last time I did the laundry, LOL! (I don't know what it feels like to have an agent, just to drop the ball, LOL!)

Good luck!

Debbie--I'll be back soon, promise!

Spy--Laundry. Uh, yeah, that too.

Good luck Wendy! I can't think of a better reason to put us all on hold, especially if this frees up 20 minutes to buy food and shampoo. :)

good luck with edits! I know what you mean about getting so involved with something other things are forgotten- have had same problem recently! We'll miss you while you're "hiating" (yes, that IS a word, dang it, because I said so!)

Thanks, Colby and Melanie. I feel kind of lazy because it's not as if I update my blog all that often anyway. Maybe I am just need to assuage the guilt about knowing I haven't updated.

Lazy? You're the opposite of lazy. Please don't feel guilty for us. :)

It's a glorious problem you have. We shall await your return without resentment.

Or maybe just a little.
